The first, “Osteotomy Around the Knee: A Powerful Tool for Joint Preservation” takes place in the morning. Dr. Sherman will give a talk on “Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy”. Tomorrow evening Dr. Sherman will speak on knee meniscus at the Smith+Nephew Virtual Incoming Fellows Course Knee Session.
Dr. Sherman will be speaking at the Western Orthopaedic Association 84th Annual Meeting Sports Symposia this Monday, August 17. This year’s event will be a virtual meeting.

Dr. Sherman attended the ACL Study Group in Kitzbuhel, Austria this weekend. The meeting included discussions about quadriceps tendon autograft for ACL reconstruction. Dr. Sherman is proud of our global initiative to prevent ACL tears in our youth athletes.
Dr. Sherman participated as a ‘civilian’ surgeon in the Extreme War Injuries Meeting in Washington D.C. this weekend. Thank you to the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons team for the invitation. Teamwork drives innovation to help our soldiers!
This weekend Dr. Sherman attended the OSET Orthopaedic Summit in Las Vegas last week. He was introduced as the Co-Chair of Cartilage and Biologics. Topics of the summit include patellofemoral and knee joint preservation.
Dr. Sherman attended the 9th Sports Knee Surgery Conference in the UK last week. He was invited to attend by Warwick Orthopedics and provided a USA perspective on complex knee procedures. He also provided a presentation on Patella Tendon grafts.
This past weekend, Dr. Sherman attended the AANA Advanced Course on Knee Ligaments, Meniscus and Cartilage OLC in Chicago. He performed a live surgical demo and assisted Liza Arendt with a trochleoplasty demo. He also provided his perspective on patellofemoral cartilage treatment.
Dr. Sherman is a team physician for the Stanford Cardinals football team. He assists players off and on the field with injuries and injury prevention. He’s pictured here helping quarterback KJ Costello after an injury he received during a recent game with Northwestern.
