Tomorrow, August 27, Dr. Sherman will be speaking at two webinars.

The first, “Osteotomy Around the Knee: A Powerful Tool for Joint Preservation” takes place in the morning. Dr. Sherman will give a talk on “Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy”. Dr. Sherman’s Presentation Wins AANA Award

Dr. Sherman’s presentation, entitled “MPFL Repair vs. Reconstruction for Refractory Patella Instability in Patients Under 18 Years Old”, has won AANA’s Patellofemoral Anatomy Research Excellence Award. Dr. Sherman was presented with the award on June 17 through an AANA webinar.

Dr. Sherman Co-Authors Book Chapter on Partial Lateral Patella Facetectomy with Lateral Soft Tissue Management

Dr. Sherman recently co-authored a book chapter reviewing the indications, contraindications, surgical technique, and outcomes of partial lateral patella facetectomy with lateral soft tissue management. ⁦⁦The book is titled Patellofemoral Pain, Instability, and Arthritis.

Dr. Sherman attends ACL Study Group 2020 in Kitzbuhel, Austria

Dr. Sherman attended the ACL Study Group in Kitzbuhel, Austria this weekend. The meeting included discussions about quadriceps tendon autograft for ACL reconstruction. Dr. Sherman is proud of our global initiative to prevent ACL tears in our youth athletes.

This weekend Dr. Sherman attended the OSET Orthopaedic Summit in Las Vegas last week. He was introduced as the Co-Chair of Cartilage and Biologics. Topics of the summit include patellofemoral and knee joint preservation.

Dr. Sherman attended the 9th Sports Knee Surgery Conference in the UK last week. He was invited to attend by Warwick Orthopedics and provided a USA perspective on complex knee procedures. He also provided a presentation on Patella Tendon grafts.

AAOS 2019This past weekend, Dr. Sherman attended the AANA Advanced Course on Knee Ligaments, Meniscus and Cartilage OLC in Chicago. He performed a live surgical demo and assisted Liza Arendt with a trochleoplasty demo. He also provided his perspective on patellofemoral cartilage treatment.
